The firm
Glockenbach Legal
A sole practice in Munich's Isarvorstadt. Advice and representation for businesses and private clients alike.
The person
Nathaniel Grundmann, LL.M. (Berkeley)
I am a Rechtsanwalt in Munich and an Attorney at Law in the State of New York. I advise on German, European and New York law.
How I work
Fully digital, with clear limits
The file is digital, correspondence with the courts is electronic, meetings take place by video or in person as you prefer and signatures can be given electronically. Every invoice contains a transparent record of the work done.
I use artificial intelligence where it genuinely helps: in research, in structuring large volumes of documents and in first drafts. What matters is what it does not do. It makes no legal assessment, it replaces no review and it signs nothing. Every result passes through my hands before it reaches you or the other side, and I am liable for it as for any other legal service.
The handling of your data is equally clear. Confidential client information is not passed to unauthorised third parties and is not used to train external systems. Legal professional secrecy under section 43a(2) of the Federal Lawyers' Act applies at every step of the work, including the technical ones.
About the name
The brook beneath the firm
The Glockenbach is not a district but a watercourse. It branched off the Westermühlbach and ran through the Isarvorstadt until Munich's city brooks were vaulted over in the 1960s and largely drained. It owes its name to a foundry where bells were cast from the fifteenth to the seventeenth century.
A drained arm of the brook runs beneath the building that houses this firm. Anyone who does not know the old maps will not notice it.
Let us talk it through
A short first conversation is usually enough to place your matter.
